I wrote this melody on a Saturday morning, looking up over the piano and out my window at the falling snow. It wasn't meant to be a winter anthem necessarily, but the space, the melody, the ballad tempo, and the many major 7 chords, do seem to mesh nicely, in my head at least, with a snowy landscape. Of course, if I had written it in the spring, it would probably suggest lush green landscape. So why don't you just forget of all of this backstory and make your own interpretation.
